Azam, Mtibwa Sugar shine as JKT Oljoro holds Ruvu shooting in 2-2 draw

Dar es Salaam. Azam Football Club won 2-0 against Mgambo JKT to climb the second position in the ongoing Tanzania Mainland Premier League.

The two teams started the match with a bang and made various attacks. However, the teams’ strikers missed many clear chances in the thrilling encounter. New promoted striker, Halid Maliki of Azam FC was the man of the match in the encounter after scoring the first goal while Kipre Tchetche scored the second goal in the 87th minute.

The win enabled the team to clinch the second position with 14 points. Simba SC is at the top with 15 points. In another match, Mtibwa Sugar won 2-1 against Ruvu JKT.

Mtibwa Sugar head coach, Mecky Mexime said that they were happy with the victory and hoped to shine in the remaining matches.
