Dar es Salaam. Defending champions, Young Africans (Yanga) today face tough test of Dodoma Jiji FC in the ongoing Mainland Tanzania Premier League match.
The match has been scheduled to take place at the Liti Stadium in Singida from 4pm and is expected to be the most thrilling one. Yanga need to maintain their unbeaten run in the league while Dodoma Jiji FC want to prove their worth against the country’s football giants by stopping their unbeaten run record.
The Jangwani Street giants are now placed third in the league standing with 26 points from 10 matches while Dodoma Jiji FC are placed 15th after collecting nine points from 11 matches respectively.

Yanga head coach Nabi Nesreddine said they are targeting victory against Dodoma Jiji in order to widen the team’s lead of the other clubs in the Premier League.

“We want to maintain our winning streak by continuing to win match after match, despite facing strong opposition,” said Nabi.
Yanga are expected to field their newly-signed second choice goalkeeper Abdultwalib Mshery who is covering the gap left by Malian goalkeeper Djigui Diarra who has joined his national team for special assignment.
Nabi said they are taking the encounter seriously because Dodoma Jiji is among the strong teams in the league.
Dodoma Jiji FC head coach Melis Medo said they are taking the encounter seriously, and their target is to end Yanga’s unbeaten record in the league.
Medo said his players are in good form, ready to face challenges by the league defenders.
