NBC Bank prouds to support Kizimkazi Samia Cup

Zanzibar. The National Bank of Commerce (NBC) has pledged to continue its support for the Kizimkazi Youth Football Tournament, known as the Kizimkazi Samia Cup, which concluded on Saturday in Zanzibar.

NBC Bank Managing Director Theobald Sabi made the commitment after the final match, where Kusini Secondary School's football team secured a 3-0 victory over Muyuni Secondary School.

Sabi expressed pride in the bank's involvement in the Kizimkazi Festival, which featured a variety of activities. "We witnessed talented young football players at the event.

“I believe the tournament stimulates football development in the country and promotes culture and tourism," said Sabi.

As a key stakeholder in football development, NBC Bank plans to continue supporting this event, just as they do with the Tanzania Mainland Premier League and other sports events.

During the match, Vice President Dr. Philip Mpango presented the trophy to the victorious Kusini team. The award giving ceremony also involved senior government officials and sponsors of the league, such as TTCL.

The festival featured a series of exciting events organised by NBC Bank in collaboration with The TTCL, including the "Bongo and Zenji Flavor Night," a grand music festival in Paje, which was attended by President Samia herself.

Aside from sports and entertainment, NBC Bank also played a crucial role in the inauguration of the Salaam Cave Aquarium at Kizimkazi-Dimbani.

During the inauguration, President Samia expressed her gratitude to NBC Bank and TTCL for their continued support for the festival, which has been a success for nine years.

Sabi expressed the bank's commitment to the Kizimkazi Festival, highlighting their initiatives in education, health, tourism, sports, and financial services.

He also reaffirmed NBC Bank's determination to promote tourism, particularly through the newly inaugurated Salaam Cave Aquarium, which aims to create employment opportunities and boost national income.
