Following the conclusion of the CAF Confederation Cup group stage, Simba SC, who topped Group A, will face one new opponent, while the other two are familiar rivals in past competitions.

Stellenbosch FC (South Africa)

The South African side will be new opponents against Simba SC in CAF competitions. They finished second in Group B with nine points.

Stellenbosch FC, competing in the tournament for the first time, could pose a challenge for Simba SC due to their unfamiliar playing style.

However, Simba SC's vast experience in international competitions could provide them with an advantage.

Coached by Steve Barker, Stellenbosch recorded notable victories in the group stage, including a 2-0 win over Stade Malien and back-to-back victories over Angola's CD Lunda Sul (2-0 at home and 1-0 away).

Additionally, Stellenbosch FC have demonstrated their strength in the South African Premier Football League, securing a victory over Orlando Pirates, showcasing their capability and determination.

ASEC Mimosas (Ivory Coast)

Asec Mimosa, who finished second in Group C with eight points, are familiar opponents against Simba SC. The two teams have met six times in CAF competitions, with each side recording two wins, two draws, and two losses.

The Ivorian side brings a wealth of experience and a strong tactical approach, making them a tough challenge for Simba SC.

Their solid performances in the group stage underscore their ability to compete at the highest level.

Al Masry (Egypt)

Egyptian giants Al Masry finished second in Group D with nine points and may face Simba SC for the third time in history.

The two sides last met in the 2018 CAF Confederation Cup, in which Al Masry eliminated Simba on the away goals rule.

During their previous encounter, Simba SC secured a goalless draw in Cairo but were held to a 2-2 draw at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam, where they exited.

Al Masry's tactical discipline and experience in African competitions make them formidable opponents, and Simba SC will need to be at their best to overcome the Egyptian challenge.

As Simba SC prepare for the knockout stage, they will need to leverage their experience and tactical strengths to overcome both new and familiar opponents.

Their journey to continental glory will require focus, determination, and strategic execution in the upcoming matches.
