Bigman’s head coach, Zubeir Katwila, is optimistic about securing a positive result despite facing strong opposition from Simba. Katwila stated that all his players are in top form and ready to give their best in the match. “My players are in great spirits and prepared to face Simba’s challenges. I know it will be a historic match for them to play against one of the biggest teams in the country,” said Katwila.
He explained that his squad has a mix of players capable of countering Simba’s experienced lineup.
“We are competing in the Championship League, which is the second tier after the Tanzania Mainland Premier League. I promise it will be a tough and thrilling match,” he added. Bigman currently sit in seventh place with 41 points from 24 matches in the Championship division standings.
“Our main target is to make history by eliminating one of the giants,” Katwila said.
The team will rely on key and experienced players, including defender Ally Ally, who previously played for Yanga, KMC, and Stand United, as well as Mohamed Ibrahim, who also played for Mtibwa Sugar and Namungo FC, among others.
Simba also aim for victory in this encounter. The team’s head coach, Fadlu Davids, said the players are highly motivated and ready to perform at their best.
“Our players are well-prepared and determined to win. We respect our opponents, but our target is to qualify for the next round,” said Davids.
Simba’s squad will feature key players such as Charles Ahoua and Lionel Ateba, who are currently in top form ahead of the match.
So far, Singida Black Stars, Mbeya City, and JKT Tanzania have already qualified for the quarterfinals of the competition.
