Tanzania’s Simba FC intensifies training in Egypt ahead of new season

Dar es Salaam. Simba Football Club has commenced an intensive training camp in Ismailia, Egypt, as they gear up for the upcoming season.

Led by coach Seleman Matola, the team has plunged into rigorous workouts focusing on endurance, stamina, and strength-building exercises. The camp, which spans 18 days, aims to whip the squad into top form.

Goalkeeper Ayoub Lakred has bolstered the team's efforts by joining from Morocco after a vacation, injecting fresh energy into the squad.

Head Coach Fadlu Davids and his coaching staff encountered travel delays but have now joined the team to oversee tactical preparations.

Simba's stay at the upscale Mercure Ismailia Forsan Island hotel underscores their commitment to optimal training conditions.

The venue, accommodating over 40 team members, promises a conducive environment for intensive training and team bonding.

The training camp also serves as a platform for friendly matches, with Simba scheduled to play at least three games to fine-tune their strategies.

Their return to Tanzania is slated for early August, culminating in the Simba Day Festival, where they will engage in another international friendly before gearing up for the Kariakoo Derby against Yanga in the Community Shield.

The Community Shield, scheduled from August 8-11, will feature four clubs including Coastal Union and Azam FC, with Simba aiming to redeem last season's final loss against Yanga.
