Yanga, Azam players set to learn their fate

Dar es Salaam. The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) disciplinary committee meeting has been pushed back to Tuesday.

The meeting, which may have a serious impact on title chasers Yanga and Azam, was earlier planned for today.

Yanga, who top the Vodacom Premier League with 65 points, may lose their star strikers Donald Ngoma and Amissi Tambwe who are accused of violent conduct during their league match against nemesis Simba. Azam have four first team players who may suffer the TFF’s wrath. They are John Bocco, Kipre Tchetche, Shomari Kapombe and Aishi Manula.

TFF information officer Alfred Lucas said yesterday that the meeting has been postponed due to unavailability of a section of members.

“A good number of the members wont be available for Sunday’s meeting, so it has been decided that the meeting will be held on Tuesday,” he said.

Lucas said they have informed all parties of the change of dates.

Stewart Hall, the Azam Fc head coach, will appear before the committee for his remarks on the TFF’s failure to run the league well.
