Dar es Salaam. Mwananchi Communications Limited (MCL), through its flagship business newspaper, The Citizen, is officially launching the Zanzibar edition of The Citizen Rising Woman Initiative (RWI) today, March 25.

The Chief Secretary of the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar, Zena Ahmed Said, is expected to grace the event at the Madinat Al Bahir Hotel.

RWI is an ongoing initiative that collects stories of influential female leaders and entrepreneurs from the world of business, politics, art, sports, civil society and life.

The acting head of Marketing and Events at MCL, Mr Edson Sosten, says the Zanzibar edition is part of the continuation of the company’s slogan, Empowering the Nation.
