Vodacom waives fees for new M-Pesa customers

Dar es Salaam. Vodacom Tanzania PLC has unveiled a new campaign that allows its new customers to send and withdraw up to Sh50,000 without fees for transactions.

The offer is part of a new campaign dubbed “Zaidi ya Mtandao.”
Vodacom’s Brigita Shirima explained that the new campaign seeks to impact the daily lives of Tanzanians in various social and economic sectors.
“We are delighted to inform Tanzanians, especially new customers, that there will be no fees for sending and receiving money below Sh50,000,” she said during the launch on Friday.

On his part, the head of the Northern Zone for the company, Mr George Venanty, said that the launch of the campaign has been carried out simultaneously in four other regions, which are the Lake Zone, Dar es Salaam Zone, Central Zone, and Southern Highlands Zone.
