Rich Mavoko expresses willingness to team up with Diamond again
Rich Mavoko’s journey in the music industry is nothing short of a rollercoaster. Five years since his return, he continues to gift fans with hits like "Naogopa," "My G," "Blow Up," "Ndo Mana," and "Mtaa."
In an exclusive interview with The Citizen’s sister paper, Mwanaspoti, Rich opens up about his experiences, challenges, and what the future holds.
Since parting ways with Wasafi Classic Baby (WCB), Rich embraces independence. While his relationship with Diamond Platnumz cooled after leaving the label, Rich is now open to collaboration.
"I have no issues with Diamond or the WCB team. I'm ready to work with them on any project," he shares.
This openness hints at potential exciting collaborations in the future.
Freedom has been a significant theme in Rich's journey. He proudly states that going solo brings a sense of liberation and a steady income stream.
"There have been major changes, but I’m handling everything smoothly," he says, exuding confidence in his ability to navigate the industry on his terms.
Rich's fan base remains loyal and ever-growing. "My fans are still with me, and their support has only strengthened. I respect them deeply for standing by me," he says, acknowledging the unwavering love from his followers.
Addressing rumours of being bewitched, Rich can't help but laugh. "These stories amuse me. I don’t believe in witchcraft. My faith in God is strong, and I trust Him over any superstition," he says.
His brief absence from the limelight is merely a phase, one that many artists experience. He remains optimistic, believing that everything is falling into place as it should.
Contrary to rumours of hardship after leaving WCB, Rich clarifies that he’s always been financially stable.
"People assumed I was struggling, but I’ve never lacked. I stepped back from social media to clear my mind, not because of financial issues," he explains.
His hiatus was a personal choice, one that allowed him to recharge and focus on his music.
