Tanzanian gospel artiste, Goodluck Gozbert ignited heated discussions on social media after burning a car he was gifted by a prophet, claiming the gift was not right for him.

In a viral video circulating on social media, the singer revealed that he received the car in December 2021 but decided to destroy it, stating it did not align with his faith.

“The video shows the car I was gifted by a prophet here in Tanzania sometimes in December 2021 during a church service. I have much to say, but for now, I want to clarify that the meal I partook in during that service and the car I received as a gift displeased God, whom I serve. That altar was not right for me to be part of," shares Gozbert.

He adds, "I understand this video will spark mixed reactions from those who love me and those who dislike me, and I respect all opinions. If God grants me the grace to speak further, I will. For now, I leave it at this. May God bless you all."

The decision to burn the car has divided public opinion, with some praising his boldness in standing firm in his faith, while others questioned the necessity of the act.
