CRDB Bank Plc’s chief executive officer Abdulmajid Nsekela admired The Citizen’s unwavering commitment to excellence in journalism.

He highlighted how The Citizen has been instrumental in informing the public about financial news, regulatory changes, and economic trends, thereby fostering a deeper understanding of the banking sector's importance to the economy.

“Your reporting has facilitated dialogue between stakeholders and has been instrumental in promoting transparency and accountability,” he said.

Looking ahead, Mr Nsekela encouraged The Citizen to expand its investigative journalism in financial matters, uncovering critical insights that could drive meaningful discussions.

He also suggested that more feature stories focusing on the positive impact of banking initiatives on communities could further strengthen public trust and engagement.

Embracing technological advancements in communication was another area where he sees potential for The Citizen to continue thriving.

“I look forward to continuing our partnership and witnessing The Citizen's ongoing contributions to the business community,” the CRDB Boss stated.

KCB Bank-Tanzania’s managing director Mr Cosmas Kimario commended The Citizen for becoming the leading English newspaper in the country.

"The Citizen newspaper has become the leading English paper in the media sector in the country, providing us with detailed analysis and valuable insights that have contributed to the growth of the financial sector," Mr Kimario remarked.

He acknowledged the newspaper’s role in supporting the banking and finance sector by providing critical analysis and insights.

Kimario encouraged The Citizen to continue focusing on emerging sector trends and help players capitalize on these opportunities. He also emphasised the importance of leveraging technology, which continues to evolve rapidly, ensuring that the paperremains at the forefront of digital innovation.

The Managign Director for NCBA Bank Mr Claver Serumaga shared how The Citizen’s focus on numbers has deeply influenced the bank’s operations.

"The Citizen’s dedication to providing in-depth analysis, accurate financial reporting, and insightful commentary has significantly influenced our operations," he said.

He appreciated The Citizen’s alignment with NCBA’s values of transparency, accuracy, and accountability, which are critical in reporting the numbers that matter in the financial sector.

Mr Serumaga praised The Citizen’s journalistic integrity and balanced reporting on various issues. However, he also saw opportunities for enhancement, particularly in digital transformation and investigative journalism.

He believes that by investing further in interactive digital features and continuing to delve into the stories behind the numbers, The Citizen can maintain its position as a leading media outlet.
