Dar es Salaam. Ilala District Court yesterday acquitted well-known gospel singer and businessman, Emmanuel Mbasha who was charged with two counts of rape.
Resident Magistrate Flora Mujaya said that the prosecution failed to prove charges against the accused beyond all reasonable doubt.
“After going through testimonies from six witnesses and exhibits produced in court, I am sure that the prosecution failed to prove the charges against the accused,” the magistrate said.
