Dar es Salaam. Simba Sports Club Chief Executive Officer Barbara Gonzalez says the club leadership are yet to reach an agreement with their Zambian star, Clatous Chama, about the renewal of his contract.

Gonzalez, who is the first woman to hold the club’s top leadership position, has also insisted that the Zambian attacking midfielder will not join Yanga as rumoured. She said Simba are currently in the process of renewing the contract of the player, whom, she explained, they have goals with.

The club official called upon the fans and supporters of Simba to remain calm about the issue of Chama, saying that their club leadership are serious about ensuring that everything goes as planned for Simba’s respect and value.

She insisted that Chama is still Simba’s player because his current contract is yet to expire and that talks about the renewal of his contract are on course.

“Simba are a big brand, they know what should be done to ensure everything goes well as planned. Their fans do not regret at all supporting that brand. So, the club’s fans will get a good response about the player sooner than later,” said Barbara, famously known as Boss Lady.
