Dar es Salaam. Three key players of Simba are facing uncertain future as their contracts will end at the conclusion of this season,

However, a source within the club has said that there is a threat that the players will leave the club, whose leaders are preoccupied with the league matches.

The players are Clatous Chama, Kibu Dennis, and Mzamiru Yassin.

Recently, rumors have circulated that Azam FC are targeting potential recruits to bolster their squad ahead of the next Tanzania Mainland Premier League season.

Azam FC assistant coach Yousuph Dabo highlighted a range of standout players capable of seamlessly integrating into any coach’s tactical setup due to their exceptional skills and standards.

The team’s tactician mentioned Chama and Dennis, along with Yanga’s Stephane Aziz Ki, Clement Mzize, and goalkeeper Djigui Diarra as potential signings to bolster his squad. Dabo described Chama, Azizi Ki, Diarra, and Mzize as stellar performers, stating, “Beyond Mzize’s undeniable talent, there exists a pool of exceptional players like Chama, Azizi Ki, Diarra, and Denis Kibu.”

He added, “Their consistent displays of excellence reaffirm their potential to significantly enhance any team.”

The source indicated that the players are yet to discuss their future at the club, despite their contracts having less than three months remaining.

As per the rules and regulations governing the game, the three players are free to discuss their career future with other clubs provided they follow the proper procedures.

Some of the players’ agents or managers appear to be busy planning for their clients’ future ahead of the next league season.

“There is a threat that the players will leave the club, whose leaders are preoccupied with league matches. So far, nothing has been done to address the players’ future at the club. This is because the league is yet to be completed, and Simba are competing to finish in the best position,” said the source.

Simba Information Officer Ahmed Ally admitted that the players’ contracts will expire at the end of the season.

“It is true that the players’ contracts will expire at the end of the season. However, we will not let them go as we expect to discuss the matter with the players and their management. All the players’ contracts are negotiable, and we are confident they will remain with us for the next season,” said Ally.
