First test for Chama, Dube as Yanga face Bundesliga's FC Augsburg in South Africa

Dar es Salaam. Mainland Tanzania Premier League champions, Young Africans (Yanga), will face Bundesliga side, FC Augsburg, this evening at 4pm East Africa Time.

The match will take place at the Mbombela Stadium in Mpumalanga, South Africa. Yanga will also meet the hosts, TS Galaxy, on July 24 at the same time.

The game against FC Augsburg is expected to attract many fans, as it will be broadcast live on Azam TV and will be used to test new systems for the upcoming league season, including the Community Shield, the Premier League, the FA Cup, and the African Champions League.

FC Augsburg will be without their most expensive star, Rubén Vargas, who performed well in the Euro 2024 with the Swiss national team.

Dangerous players for Yanga to watch include midfielder Arne Engels and forward Phillip Tietz, who scored eight goals in the German league last season.

Yanga will showcase their new stars, including goalkeeper Abubakar Khomeiny, midfielder Clatous Chama, defender Chadrack Boka, and striker Prince Dube. However, attacking midfielder Pacome Zouzoua will miss the match due to passport renewal.
