In a week marked by aviation tragedies, four separate aeroplane accidents occurred, resulting in significant loss of life and raising concerns about air travel safety.

The series of events began with Azerbaijan Airlines Flight 8243, which crashed near Aktau, Kazakhstan. The Embraer passenger jet, en route from Baku to Grozny, was reportedly downed by Russian air defence systems, resulting in 38 fatalities.

Shortly thereafter, Jeju Air Flight 2216 crash-landed at Muan International Airport in South Korea. The aircraft overshot the runway after a reported bird strike, tragically claiming 179 lives.

In North America, Air Canada Express Flight 2259 experienced a landing gear failure upon arrival at Halifax Stanfield International Airport in Nova Scotia. The aircraft skidded along the runway, and a wing caught fire. Fortunately, all 73 passengers and crew members evacuated safely, with no reported injuries.

Additionally, a KLM Royal Dutch Airlines Boeing 737-800 flight from Oslo to Amsterdam diverted to Oslo Torp Sandefjord Airport due to a hydraulic failure. Upon landing, the aircraft veered off the runway into a grassy area. All 176 passengers and six crew members were unharmed.

This succession of incidents has prompted aviation authorities worldwide to initiate thorough investigations, aiming to enhance safety measures and prevent future tragedies.
