Stage set for 2024 Corporate Masters Golf Series tourney

Dar es Salaam. More than 120 golfers will begin competing today in the eagerly awaited Corporate Masters Golf Series 2024 at the Dar es Salaam Gymkhana Club (DGC) golf course.
The event kicks off at 7:30am, according to the tournament’s organizer, Kelly Simon.
All golfers have pledged to give their best to win the top prizes.
Simon announced that the golfers have been categorized into 12 teams, including Kenya Airways, Automark, CRDB Bank, Ecobank, NCBA, Heritage Insurance, MO (MeTL) Kago, Flashnet, CMC, Just Fit, and NMB Bank.
Among the competitors is last year’s winner, Arjun Lavingia, who aims to defend his title. Other notable participants include Kunal Lakhani and Claudio Kisanko.
The event will also feature golfers from six countries: Kenya, Uganda, Malawi, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. Prominent lady golfers such as Maryanne Mugo, Joyce Ndyetabura, and Ayne Magombe will also participate.
“The golfers have undergone intensive training ahead of the event.
I expect an exciting tournament and call on golf stakeholders to attend the two-day event,” said Simon.
“This is the fifth time the championship is being held,” Simon noted.
“It has made significant contributions by bringing together businessmen to play, share experiences, forge friendships, and promote local golf talent.”
He also highlighted the lucrative prizes for the winners, including a car for the golfer who achieves a hole-in-one.
Additionally, there will be awards for the longest drive for both male and female golfers.
The Corporate Masters Golf Series 2024 is set to be one of the most competitive and engaging tournaments of the year, with participants from various backgrounds and countries.
The organizers have ensured that the event will run smoothly, with all necessary preparations in place.
The golfers are currently undergoing intensive training to ensure they are in top form for the competition.
