Simba managed to break the deadlock in the 27th minute when Saido Ntibazonkiza capitalised on a well-timed pass from Kibu Dennis, scoring easily just outside the danger zone. SIngida Fountain Gate FC players changed the pattern of the game while searching for the equalising goal, but Simba’s defenders stood firm to clear all dangerous balls.

Simba led 1-0 at halftime.
