His artistic style blends a keen eye for color and detail with a strong emphasis on storytelling, essential for cultural preservation.

"I was involved in the publication commemorating 'Photographic Journey: 60 Years of the United Republic of Tanzania - The Union of Tanganyika and Zanzibar,' working as a photo editor and publisher. That is our history and heritage. It took almost a year to complete, and I am thankful for the support from President Samia Suluhu Hassan, who was instrumental in the publication, which was launched in Dodoma in May during the Union celebrations. This was one of the best publications I have ever worked on," he says.

"Zanzibar has given me opportunities that no other place could have, and though I studied in London, I decided to come back to the island." Jafferji also mentors emerging photographers in the region, emphasizing his commitment to the island's visual legacy.

Arif Suleiman Nassor, an aerial photographer and visual artist from Zanzibar, discovered his passion for photography early on.

In 2018, he transitioned to aerial photography, driven by a desire to capture unique perspectives of landscapes, travel, and lifestyle scenes.

Specializing in aerial photography, social media collaborations, and video production, Arif's work has garnered recognition from prestigious platforms such as DJI Global and Globe Drone.

His distinctive style and dedication to excellence have earned him a loyal following and numerous industry accolades.

"My inspiration comes from Javed Jafferji. I have seen Javed's work, and what I am today is because of him. There is no better photographer in Zanzibar than him; I and other photographers have been inspired by him," Arif comments.

Arif's creative vision continues to inspire global audiences, showcasing the beauty of his homeland and beyond through captivating imagery and storytelling.

Ashraki Mussa Machano, owner of Ash Gallery, specializes in dramatic portraits and scenic photography.

With over seven years of experience, Ashraki draws inspiration from Zanzibar's exotic beaches and vibrant locals, capturing stunning visuals that narrate the rich stories of his community.

His ongoing pursuit of skill enhancement and passion for storytelling solidify his pivotal role in Zanzibar's artistic landscape.

Currently, all three photographers are collaborating on a coffee table book titled "Zanzibar By Air," slated for publication in October during the Zanzibar Tourism and Investment Show.

The launch, expected to be presided over by Zanzibar's President Hussein Mwinyi, is in association with the Commission for Tourism & Hotel Association of Zanzibar (HAZ).
