Yanga, Simba, and Azam FC know their CAF Continental Championship opponents

Dar es Salaam. Tanzania's football giants, Young Africans (Yanga) and Simba, will learn their opponents in the continental club championships.
Yanga will compete in the CAF Champions League, while Simba will participate in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Additionally, Azam FC and JKU of Zanzibar are set to compete in the CAF Champions League, and Coastal Union (Tanzania Mainland) and Uhamiaji of Zanzibar will discover their opponents in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Yanga are among the highest-ranked clubs, along with Pyramids (Egypt), CR Belouizdad (Algeria), and Raja Club Athletic of Morocco.
The teams will begin in the first preliminary matches. Exempted from the first preliminary rounds are Al Ahly (Egypt), Esperance (Tunisia), Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa), Atletico Petroleos Luanda (Angola), and TP Mazembe of DR Congo.

The draw marks the start of what promises to be another exciting season of premium African club football. In the CAF Champions League, 59 clubs from 47 African countries will compete, while the CAF Confederation Cup will feature 52 clubs from 41 countries.
The CAF Interclub men’s competitions remain two of the most sought-after in African club football.
Both competitions continue to grow, enjoying record global TV audiences thanks to the ever-improving standard of African football.
In the previous season, reigning champions Al Ahly SC extended their CAF Champions League titles to a record 12, while their arch-rivals Zamalek were crowned champions of the CAF Confederation Cup for the second time.
Meanwhile, Simba are among the exempted clubs to feature in the preliminary rounds. Other clubs include RS Berkane (Morocco), Asec Mimosas (Ivory Coast), Stade Malien (Mali), Enyimba (Nigeria), Zamalek (Egypt), USM Alger (Algeria), El Masry (Egypt), and CS Sfaxien (Tunisia). Also on the list are AS Vita (DR Congo), Sekhukhume United (South Africa), and FC Lupopo (DR Congo).
CAF received the official engagement of 52 clubs, of which 12 teams are the highest ranked, while the remaining 40 clubs will start in the first preliminary round, consisting of ranked clubs (3) and non-ranked clubs (37) according to the official club rankings.
